Sauder Family

Founded by Erie Sauder in 1934, Sauder pioneered the RTA concept in 1951 with the first snap-together table available to the public.

Today the Sauder family of companies include Sauder Woodworking-the nation's largest manufacture of RTA furniture; Sauder Manufacturing-a leading provider of church and institutional seating; Progressive Furniture-a maker of traditional solid wood, veneer and laminate furniture; Archbold Container Corporation-a producer of packing materials; and the newest member of the Sauder family of companies--Studio RTA.

All told, the Sauder family of companies boasts sales in excess of $700 million dollars and employs over 4000 people.
